The Museon is a fun-packed popular science museum in the Netherlands. Learn the dramatic story of man and his world, through models, computer programs and extraordinary artifacts from all over the globe. The permanent displays Evolution, Photography, Volcanoes, Fossils , Prehistory, Computers, Indonesia, Minerals, Egypt, Tropical Rainforest, Climate, Discoveries, Astronomy, DNA and Environment are complemented by various temporary exhibitions and a range of activities for young and old. Just because of the diversity of its displays, visitors of the museum get a broad overview ranging from the creation of Earth and the history of life to inventions, the environment and native cultures.

Visiting hours

Tuesday - Sunday 11 am - 5 pm and Mondays during school holidays. Closed on Monday (except during school holidays), 1 January and 25 December.

Admission

Adults: € 6; 65 + /Youth Pass: € 5; children 4 -11: € 3; family ticket (2 adults & 2 children) :€ 16; groups > 20: € 0,50 discount p.p.

How to get there?

Central Station: bus 4 or tram 17. HS Station: tram 17. Follow the signs for Den Haag. Go to the end of Utrechtse Baan (A12) and follow the signs first to 'Kijkduin' then to Gemeentemuseum, which is next to the Museon.
